Kari Mohar

Art Teacher

Kari Mohar is a happy camper, dark chocolate lover and proud owner of the silliest Terrier-Bassett mix you’ve ever seen. She was born with a love of art in western Ohio and fine-tuned her skills at Otterbein College and later the Univ. of Arizona. Post college, Kari journeyed from New Mexico as an artist in residence, to Peace Corps Ghana, where she became part of the Savelugu Deaf community, to sunny Tucson where she worked as a graphic designer while getting her masters, to Kinard Middle School where she spent 8 amazing years.
Now, Kari is thrilled to be a part of the TMHS community. She values art as a means of sharing perspective and thinking in diverse ways.
When she’s not up to her elbows planning painting, drawing, bookmaking and ceramics projects, Kari spends her time outside, curling up with a good book and planning her next summer adventure with her family. Kari is married and has twin toddlers and an independent 4 year old - stop by and say hello!
