Cris is excited to help build the culture and traditions of Timnath Middle-High School. He is an ardent science and social studies educator after a career as a firefighter in Texas. He has taught classes ranging from middle school social studies/science, high school biology, high school Earth systems science, cadets at a high school based fire academy, and professional firefighters as a regional hazardous materials training instructor. Cris is currently teaching Anatomy & Physiology, Latin American Humanities, and one section of 6th grade social studies/science. In the future, Cris hopes to bring AP Anatomy & Physiology to the course catalog as an additional science offering for students.
Cris has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a Master’s in Natural Sciences Education through Colorado State University.
In his free time, Cris loves to spend time with his wife Rachel, his two children, his dog Luna, and his cat Sugarplum. He is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and camping as much as possible.
