Joelle Berk was hired as a math teacher for Timnath Middle-High School in April of 2023. She graduated with her bachelor's in mathematics with a concentration in Education from Colorado State University (CSU). Joelle was a course assistant for several Pre-Calculus courses at CSU and has previously co-taught Medical Math, Pre-Algebra and College Trigonometry at Poudre High School. This year, she is teaching multiple sections of Math 8, as well as middle school sections of Algebra and Geometry. Joelle believes that everyone has the potential to learn math and has been incorporating the workshop model to allow for more student-thinking and student-led discovery.
Outside of school, you can find her hiking in the Rockies with her dog Kona or relaxing on her patio with a cup of coffee and a nice book.
