Elise Burnette is the Instructional Paraprofessional for the Art and Technology Departments at Timnath Middle High School. She is an experienced educator, artist, and multimedia communications specialist who enjoys working with students of all ages. Ms. Burnette is passionate about creating impactful content in collaboration with others, ensuring it resonates across various mediums. Since beginning her teaching career, she has devoted herself to helping students and colleagues become their best selves.
Her versatility and experience have made her an expert in graphic design, print media, interactive digital media, video production, television, radio, photography, brand management, digital illustration, content creation, website design, social media, and public relations. Ms. Burnette holds an extended Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Technology Education in Industrial Technology with a specialization in Electronic Media (TV/Radio Production) and a minor in Photography from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts in Multimedia Design and Communications from Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri. Her expertise has assisted non-profit organizations, schools, government institutions, and businesses with their media, marketing, and educational projects, particularly in the fields of conservation, art, and education. She has taught students Live Television Broadcasting, Video Production, Radio/Audio Production, Yearbook, Newspaper, Photography (Analog and Digital), Computer Applications, Pre-engineering, and 3D Art and Design in Arizona, Missouri, North Carolina, and Colorado.
In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and believes that nature has a profound impact on people around the world. An adventurous spirit, Elise embraces challenges, whether hiking the Grand Canyon, commercial salmon fishing in Alaska (yes, she did this—feel free to ask for pictures!), mastering the latest tech software, writing books, or starting her own company. When she’s not busy with these pursuits, she enjoys soccer, hiking, off-roading, fishing, canoeing, skiing, reading, cooking, camping, and spending quality time with her family, which includes her partner of 20 years, Chris, two children, and border collie.
