FBLA High School helps high school students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership through Family and Consumer Sciences education.  Using creativity and critical thinking, FCCLA members focus on developing skills to strengthen their family units, enhance community involvement, and prepare for life after high school. Students will have the chance to develop their leadership skills by attending various competitions, conferences, and volunteer/community service opportunities throughout the year.

Thespians are recognized for their excellence in high school theatre.  Students earn points for hours of work on theatre projects at school and in the community. We consider this National Honor Society for Theatre Students. Since we are a 6-12 school, we are excited to also offer Junior Thespian opportunities for Middle School Students. Each December, our troupe will attend the state Thescon Conference in Denver. Elections for Board Members will take place each spring in May with induction the following fall for new members.

Knowledge Bowl is an academic quiz-bowl type club.  We will attend competitions across Northern Colorado in which teams of four to six students will compete in oral rounds with electronic buzzers (similar to Jeopardy) and written round questions. Students who participate in Knowledge Bowl have opportunities to win scholarships, plus it looks great on a resume and we have lots of fun!

The Timnath National English Honors Society has two foundational purposes: 1) professional development and 2) service to our community. Applicants who are accepted into this prestigious program will act as professional Writing Consultants at Timnath’s Writing Center. Members will receive special training to offer peer-to-peer feedback on writing based on the Hierarchy of Rhetorical Concerns, preparing them for future jobs at Writing Centers on college campuses. If accepted, you will be able to list Writing Consultant as an official position on your resume as job experience.

National Honor Society is a club centered around 4 pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. Students lead this club to serve the Timnath Middle-High School community.  We will work as peer tutors, raise money to create an in-school charity, called Cub Cares, and serve in the greater Timnath community.  All students in NHS must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher while taking a rigorous class load and will complete a minimum of 20 -30 service hours a year.

Science Olympiad is an organization that turns science, technology, engineering, and math into a fun competition and helps increase your knowledge and love of STEM. Ultimate frisbee is an incredibly fun high-intensity sport that involves running, catching, jumping and throwing (note: disc golf is a different sport!) At TMHS our ultimate frisbee club is open to all 6-8 grade students who want to learn to play.  We practice once a week after school and compete in one state-wide tournament each semester.  We play from the beginning of the year until Thanksgiving break, and then again from spring break until the end of the year.

Unified Pals is an extracurricular club for ALL students to educate, advocate, and spread awareness about disabilities. There are opportunities for Unified events inside school and out of school, participating in Unified sports, and fundraisers for our club and Special Olympics Colorado.
