Stacy Elder

High School Math Teacher

Stacy began her teaching career in 2012, inspired by her passion for coaching basketball and golf. During the off-seasons, she found herself missing the opportunity to guide and support young people in their growth, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in education. She chose to teach mathematics because it offers students a strong foundation for critical thinking and problem-solving—skills that are essential for success in school, future careers, and life beyond the classroom. Stacy’s goal is to help students become confident, lifelong learners equipped to tackle challenges with perseverance and insight.

When she’s not in the classroom, Stacy loves spending time with her husband and family. They’re always up for an adventure—whether it’s traveling to new places, playing a round of golf, or finding fun spots to explore. At home, she feels lucky to be close to her kids and grandkids, and Sundays are set aside for family time: lunch together followed by some competitive (and fun!) game time. She’s also a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas Jayhawks—so during football and basketball seasons, you can bet their weekends revolve around game time!
