AJ is a Physical Education and Wellness teacher at Timnath Middle High School. He is in his 15th year of teaching in PSD. AJ got his start as a Physical Educator in 2009 at Shepardson Elementary School. After 3 years teaching at the elementary level, AJ moved on to Boltz Middle School where he enjoyed 10 years as a Phoenix. During this time, AJ has coached football at Blevins Middle School for 2 seasons, 1 season as an assistant coach at Boltz followed by 10 seasons as Head Coach for the Boltz Football Program. AJ is the Head MS Football Coach at TMHS. He also spent 7 years as the Head Track & Field Coach at Boltz. AJ received his B.S. in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado and his M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, CA. He is extremely honored to be able to help create an amazing school in Timnath! Outside of work, AJ and his wife Emily have 3 future Cubs; Noah, Quinn and Hayes. The can be found chasing around the little ones, playing ALL the sports (especially Disc Golf), and enjoying basically anything that involves sunshine!
