Molly Murphy

Spanish Teacher

Molly has been a Spanish teacher for thirteen years! She previously taught at Kinard Core Knowledge Middle School for seven years, Thompson Valley High School for five years before that, and joined the Timnath Cubs last year. Molly grew up in the Denver area and moved to northern Colorado after high school where she attended The University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education. During her studies at UNC, she spent six months studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile improving her language skills and cultural knowledge. She also obtained a Master of Arts in Spanish Education through the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2016 and had the opportunity to study in San José, Costa Rica over two summers as part of the program. In addition to her educational travel experiences, Molly has traveled to other Spanish-speaking countries including Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, and Uruguay. Outside of school, Molly enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When she is not teaching, she loves to travel, play board and card games, go camping, watch movies, and do any water-related activities. Molly has wanted to be a teacher since she was little and has always had a love for teaching and learning. She has had many amazing teachers throughout her school experiences that have inspired her, and she hopes to be that same inspiration for her own students. Molly is dedicated to building strong relationships with her students to instill a passion for learning, a love for languages and other cultures, and to help them be successful in their futures.
