Kassy McDermott

Mental Health Specialist

I am a Mental Health Specialist at TMHS on Mondays and Wednesdays and also services at Fort Collins High School on Tuesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays.  I am here to support student social-emotional growth and develop and build upon the tools they need/have to be successful in school and in life.  I have worked in Poudre School District since 2018 and have experience serving all students, K-12.  I grew up in Nebraska where I received my BA degree at UNL in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  I then moved out to Colorado in 2008 and got my Master's of Social Work degree from DU in 2010 and have enjoyed working with students ever since.  I enjoy spending my spare time golfing, doing arts and crafts, hanging out with close friends and family, going to the pool, and being active with my husband and three sons. I look forward to supporting others in being the best them they can be!
