Kristi Margison – Physical Education & Health Teacher
Timnath Middle-High School
Originally from Texas, I’ve proudly called Colorado home for the past 21 years. My move to the mountains was inspired by a desire for a more active and healthy lifestyle—something that continues to shape both my personal and professional life. It was there I met my amazing husband, Rob, and together we've built a wonderful life with our two beautiful daughters and two lovable fur babies. In 2010, we moved to Fort Collins and have loved every moment of exploring all that Colorado has to offer. As a family, we enjoy camping, hiking, mountain biking, paddleboarding, 4-wheeling, and playing multiple sports—especially volleyball.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Reading and Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University, where I played collegiate volleyball on scholarship. My career began at the YMCA as a Sports Director, overseeing youth and adult sports as well as the Outreach Program. However, my true passion was teaching. I began my teaching journey in 5th grade while also coaching volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and track at the high school level. I later transitioned into Physical Education and Health & Wellness.
While living in the mountains, I taught elementary PE at Breckenridge Elementary and Kindergarten at Summit Cove Elementary. After taking time off to raise my daughters, I returned to teaching in Fort Collins at Riffenburgh Elementary, and later at Preston Middle School, where I spent six years teaching Physical Education and Health. During this time, I also began teaching Boot Camp fitness classes, which grew into my own fitness business. I'm passionate about promoting healthy habits for both kids and adults.
In addition, I founded the Colorado Impact Volleyball Club—a competitive volleyball program created to give girls in Northern Colorado more opportunities to play and grow in the sport I love.
I’m thrilled to now be a part of the incredible community at Timnath Middle-High School. I look forward to working with our amazing administration, as well as the Physical Education and Health team, to help our students grow into strong, confident, and healthy young adults. Together, we’ll build lifelong healthy habits and have some fun along the way.
