Andi Walker

6th/7th Grade Language Arts Teacher

I’m excited to be teaching 6th and 7th grade English this year. I love teaching English because reading and writing are not only powerful tools for learning, but also wonderful ways to decompress, express feelings safely, and step away from stress. One of my greatest joys as a teacher is connecting with students and creating a safe, supportive environment where they can grow, take risks, and discover their own voices. Outside the classroom, I’m an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking and exploring nature, but I’m equally happy curled up with a Hallmark movie and my crochet projects. I’m a proud mom to three amazing children, a grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter, and a “fur mom” to four cats and two dogs—plus my one human husband who puts up with us all! Whether I’m reading a great book, crocheting a cozy blanket, or spending time with family (both two- and four-legged), I celebrate joy in life’s simple pleasures.
