Jen is beginning her 29th year teaching.  Jen is super excited to be joining the team at Timnath Middle High School.  She is returning from 4 years of teaching at the John F Kennedy School in Berlin, Germany.  Before that she spent 20 years teaching in PSD after starting her career in Ohio.  She has been an Integrated Services teacher, English Language Development teacher and an English teacher. Jen has 2 Bachelor's Degrees in Special Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.  Jen loves to support and encourage kids as they grow their confidence and skills as readers, writers, and thinkers.  Jen strives to help kids focus on staying in a growth mindset and celebrating all of our own unique super powers. 

Jen has 3 kids of her own.  Her oldest is a freshman at Ohio University and she has boy/girl twins in 10th grade at Rocky Mountain High School.  When she isn't teaching, you can find her traveling, playing outside- hiking, biking, camping, paddling, skiing, or snuggling her sweet dog, Mocha.
