This is Toby’s second year teaching at Timnath. He taught sixth-grade math last year and is excited to join the high school team where he will teach Physics, Algebra 1, and Freshman Seminar this year. He also coaches high school football at Timnath and boys lacrosse for the PSD Stars. Prior to teaching at Timnath, Toby earned his PhD in philosophy at Rutgers.

Toby grew up in Fort Collins and is a proud PSD alum. He attended Traut Elementary, Kinard Middle School, and Fort Collins High School. He may or may not have had some of his current colleagues as teachers and coaches. After high school, he studied physics and philosophy at CU Boulder on a Boettcher Scholarship. Sko Buffs!

Toby loves to learn and is currently fascinated by mental performance and the biblical book of Hosea. He is obsessed with coffee and embraces the tension between cultivating a comforting morning ritual and mastering the art and science of brewing the perfect cup. He is a huge Broncos and Nuggets fan; Nikola Jokić is his favorite athlete of all time.
